Dubble Penetration is a colaborative effort from the minds of Penny Wide Pupils and The Duskah. Introduced at Burning Man in 2009, they found a common love for dubstep and glitch-hop. Together they have been taking the northwest by storm and are one of the most sought after duos in the game.
The Duskah, born Jonathan Curran, began spinning Drum and Bass in late spring of 2003. After learning the ways of the decks, he set out to play shows in the Bellingham and Seattle areas. Shortly after he decided to expand his horizons by starting to work on original tracks with Reason and Cubase. In 2008 he was introduced to Dubstep and Glitch and absolutely lost all love for any other type of electronic music. Today, working in ProTools, he continues to create tracks, as well as, mixes it up with Penny Wide.
Penny Wide Pupils, born William Costello, has been listening to electronic music since the tender age of 11. His early influences were groups such as Orbital, The Prodigy and Underworld. Since then, Penny Wide's musical tastes have transformed and expanded to include almost all types of music. In 2005, he bought a set of turntables and a mixer and off he went. Penny Wide Pupils started out spinning Electro and Breaks primarily, but in 2009 he voyaged to Burning Man with The Duskah and was truly introduced to the art of Dubstep. Nowadays, Penny Wide Pupils and The Duskah can be seen throwing down wompy bass lines and funked out glitch at parties all over Bellingham and Seattle. He is currently working on incorporating a VJ show that will coencide with his DJ set.
